Proper control is the best way to ensure your cat’s safety - and your
peace of mind – both traveling and at home.

• Use a collar for security. Getting lost is the most common cause of
pet loss and death. Use a sturdy collar and ID tag with a local or cell
phone number, and carry a recent photo of your cat. Also ask your
  veterinarian about microchipping your cat.
• Cat carriers are also useful. (Be sure it is strong, large enough for your
cat to stand up and turn around, has a place for food and water, is well
ventilated, has an absorbent-covered leak-proof bottom, and closes
securely. Label it with “LIVE ANIMAL” and both local and travel
  contact information.)
• Picking up after your cat is the hygienic and thing to do. Carry pick-up
bags, and a cleaning solution in case of accidents inside (20% white
  vinegar/water works well).
