While protecting your dog with repellants and yourself with proper
footwear and clothing can reduce the risk of being bitten by ticks,
there is no doubt that dogs exposed to a tick infested environment
should be vaccinated. Consult your veterinarian about your dog’s
risk factors for Lyme disease.
