Check ahead with motels, hotels, resorts or campgrounds where you
intend to stay with your pet. If you are staying with friends, be sure to
ask if your dog is welcome. If you book your travel online, many
websites like Expedia provide listings of pet-friendly accommodations.

• Many allow pet guests and have special facilities, but call to be sure.
• Some hotels and resorts require medical documentation of
  required vaccinations.
• Don’t leave your pet alone – especially if he or she are prone to bark
  or destroy property.
• Respect other guest's privacy and peace by keeping your dog quiet
  and in check.
• Use your dog’s bed or crate as a familiar sleeping place.
• Ask where it is permitted to walk and run your dog, and pick up after
your dog. Carry pick-up bags, and a cleaning solution in case of
accidents inside (20% white vinegar/water works well).
